Frequently asked questions
Why choose the Fukuoka International Congress Center?
Its main hall seats up to 3,000, it has 19 rooms with interpretation booths and it was extensively renovated in 2024. With Marine Messe Fukuoka and Fukuoka Kokusai Center a few minutes' walk away, it brings plenary, sessions, exhibition and reception together on one campus.
How many hotels are needed for 800 participants?
Usually 3 to 4 hotels near Hakata Station or Tenjin, each with a block of 150 to 300 rooms. An alternative is to house most of the group at Hilton Fukuoka Sea Hawk (over 1,000 rooms) in Momochi, at the cost of longer rides into town in the evening.
Can attendees travel on their own between hotels and the congress center?
Yes: the center is about 15 minutes by BRT bus from Hakata Station, or 10 minutes by taxi. We still recommend loop shuttles at session start and end times, with staff at each stop.
Which interpretation languages are available?
Japanese, English, Korean and Chinese are the most common in Fukuoka; French is possible with interpreters coming from Tokyo. Booths are built into the main rooms of the congress center.
