Kaiseki & ryotei — Tokyo

Ensui

A Japanese restaurant in Nakameguro promoted to two stars in the Michelin Guide Tokyo 2026. "Flame and water": the chef celebrates the two foundations of Japanese cuisine, charcoal fire and the water of dashi, made with water brought from Kagoshima, aged kombu and high-grade bonito. The simmered course is the pride of the house.

Corporate use

One for an executive committee with a keen interest in food, in a small party and booked well ahead. The Nakameguro neighborhood makes it easy to continue at a cocktail bar or along the Meguro River, spectacular in cherry-blossom season.

Private rooms & private hire

An 8-seat counter and one private room (4 guests per the booking page, 6 per the access page, which we confirm for each request). The whole restaurant can be booked out on request.

The menu

A single Japanese omakase whose price varies with seasonal produce, built around charcoal fire and dashi. Beer, wine by the glass and bottle, whisky, shochu and a range of alcohol-free drinks and teas. Allergies and dislikes must be stated at booking; perfume is not allowed, to protect the aromas.
