Frequently asked questions
Why combine Naha and Ishigaki rather than one resort?
Naha brings the history and culture of the Ryukyu Kingdom, Ishigaki the sea and the Yaeyama Islands. The roughly 1-hour flight between them, with luggage handled by our team, changes the scenery completely without losing more than half a day.
Does the program work for 40 people?
Yes. The Ubufuru Ishigaki has 33 suites, including 2LDKs for two couples or a family, and Southwest Grand Hotel has 87 rooms. Above 25 people, we charter two boats for the Taketomi day and split the teppanyaki dinner across two seatings.
What if the sea is too rough?
The private boat is replaced by the scheduled ferry to Taketomi, which runs in more conditions, or by a day on land: Kabira Bay by glass-bottom boat, a minsa weaving workshop and an Ishigaki beef lunch in the private rooms of Ishigakiya. We also keep the sea day flexible between days 3 and 4.
Can Shuri Castle be visited?
Yes, the castle park, Shureimon gate and ramparts are open to visitors. The main hall, destroyed by fire in 2019, is being rebuilt; we adapt the visit to the state of the works at the time of the trip.
