Corporate use
A relaxed evening for sub-groups of 6 to 8 with a guide, after dinner or as an after-party. The bars are tiny and many close on Sundays, so we plan the route for weekdays and early evening.
Private rooms & private hire
No private rooms: tiny bars, often counter-only, with tables spilling into the alleys. A sub-group of 6 to 8 already fills much of a bar.
The menu
Each bar has its own menu: small Okinawan dishes, grills and champuru, but also Chinese, Burmese, Thai or Korean food. Orion beer and awamori are the staples; some bars offer senbero sets or all-you-can-drink plans.

Frequently asked questions
When is the best time to go?
On a weekday, early in the evening. Many bars close on Sundays, and since residents live inside the market, most close around midnight.
Can we bring a group of 40?
Not in one place: we split the group into sub-groups of 6 to 8, each with a guide, in different bars.
Do the bars have toilets?
Many bars inside the market have none; the market has two public toilets, which our guides point out to the group.
