MICE strengths
- 20 rooms with outdoor baths and valley views: a strong reward for award winners
- The Yūan space (41.5 tatami and four small rooms) is set aside for groups that want to dine together
- Panoramic lounge, bar and garden lounge for drinks or an informal awards moment
- Two stops from Gōra: a natural complement to a stay split with Hakone G-tei or Gora Kadan
- Bookings open one year ahead, useful to secure an incentive early
Why choose it
For the part of a 20-to-40-guest incentive that deserves the best room: every award winner gets an outdoor bath over the valley, with a group space for a shared dinner.
Possible limits
No meeting room: sessions take place elsewhere (for example at Gora Kadan). Meals are served in the room by default; a shared dinner uses the Yūan space, now also run as a teppanyaki counter, to be confirmed for the date. Bookings by phone only. Steep access for coaches and a 15-space car park.
Airport
Haneda: about 1 hour 30 minutes by car via the Tomei Expressway and Odawara-Atsugi Road. By train: Shinkansen to Odawara (30 minutes from Tokyo), then the Hakone Tozan Line to Miyanoshita (40 minutes). Private coach recommended for groups.
Station
3 minutes on foot from Miyanoshita Station (Hakone Tozan Line), two stops from Gōra. From Shinjuku, the Romancecar to Hakone-Yumoto (about 90 minutes), then 30 minutes on the mountain railway. 15-space car park reached by a steep slope.
Indicative budget
€€€€From about ¥42,500 to ¥54,600 per person per night in a shared room depending on room type (published base rates), with dinner and breakfast; luxury ryokan category.
