Yakitori — Tokyo

Kyobashi Isehiro (Main Store)

A yakitori house founded in 1921 in Kyobashi, five minutes from Tokyo Station. Whole birds arrive every morning and are butchered in-house, then grilled over ubamegashi binchotan charcoal with selected Senju leeks and shiitake. In the evening only set courses are served, including the twelve-item full course that works through the whole bird.

Corporate use

To introduce a small group to traditional yakitori without leaving the Tokyo Station area. The 12-seat rooms on the 2nd floor suit a team or client dinner; beyond that we split the group across the rooms and counters on three floors. The house deliberately limits how much alcohol is served: this is a tasting dinner, not a drinking party. A second branch opened in April 2026 in Akasaka (Akasaka Trust Tower).

Private rooms & private hire

Three floors: a 10-seat counter on the ground floor; on the 2nd floor a 13-seat counter and two 12-seat table rooms (Minami-no-ma and Kita-no-ma); on the 3rd floor a 6-seat counter and small spaces for 2 to 8 (sajiki, azumaya, oku-zashiki and two kita-no-ma). No room holds more than 12.

The menu

Three evening courses: the twelve-item full course (sasami with wasabi, offal in tare, gizzard, negima, binder-free meatball, skin, thigh, duck, wings, chicken broth, organic vegetables, morokyu), a 'healthy course' centred on breast meat and grilled vegetables, and a seven-skewer course. Extra skewers, chicken ochazuke and dessert are available. At lunch, sets of five to nine skewers and rice bowls.

Frequently asked questions

Can the house take a group of 20 to 30?

No room exceeds 12 seats, so a group that size is split between the two rooms and the counter on the 2nd floor. Feasibility is confirmed case by case with the house.

Which days is it open?

Monday to Saturday, lunch 11:30–14:00 and dinner 17:00–21:00 (20:30 on Saturdays). Closed on Sundays and public holidays.

Is there an open bar during dinner?

No. The house limits the amount of alcohol served per guest; we suggest planning a bar afterwards if the group wants to carry on.

Is it close to the Tokyo Station hotels?

Yes, it is about 5 minutes on foot from the Yaesu exit and a few minutes from the hotels in Yaesu and Ginza 1-chome.
