MICE strengths
- Only 17 rooms: taking all or part of the ryokan is enough for a leadership group of 8 to 20
- 11 detached cottages with hot-spring baths, several with outdoor baths, for senior executives
- The 70-seat Yunotake-an restaurant on the grounds can host a shared dinner or lunch on request
- Yamaneko bar and a 30-seat tea room in a late-Edo brewery, an unusual setting for a small-group discussion
- Central location on Lake Kinrin, within walking distance of central Yufuin
Why choose it
For a board or executive committee that wants Yufuin's most emblematic address, with private cottages and an on-site restaurant to bring the group together.
Possible limits
No meeting room: a work session needs a space on the grounds by arrangement, or a nearby venue. Cottage dinners are served in the room and main-building dinners at the Keikaen restaurant; a shared dinner needs prior agreement. Children of primary-school age and younger are not accepted. Rates only shown through online booking.
Airport
Ōita Airport: about 1 hour by car (airport road, Ōita Expressway to Yufuin IC, then 10 minutes) or 1 hour by express bus to Yufuin Station. Fukuoka Airport: about 2 hours by car.
Station
JR Yufuin Station about 5 minutes by taxi or 25 minutes on foot. From Hakata, the Yufuin no Mori or Yufu limited express takes about 2 hours 10 minutes.
Indicative budget
