THE GARDEN ORIENTAL OSAKA
The Garden Oriental Osaka occupies the former Osaka City Guest House (Osaka-shi Kokan), a 1959 modernist building by Kenzo Takekoshi on the Okawa River next to Sakuranomiya Park. It hosted heads of state and delegations (APEC 1995, the 2019 Osaka G20 spouses' programme) before reopening in 2014 as a restaurant and event venue, on grounds of about 4,000 tsubo with a garden.
